Welcome to our Story Time by Gemmy and Affy, today we are going to read you a story which is Rapunzel , the golden long hair princess.
At the same time, we will tell you some vocabularies from the story in Chinese language too.
Let’s get started! 我们开始吧 (wǒmen kāishǐ ba)
Rapunzel in Chinese is 长发公主; Pinyin: Zhǎng fā gōngzhǔ
It is composes of 长发 and 公主
长发 means long hair
公主 means Princess
So Rapuzel or long hair princess in Chinese is 长发公主 or 樂佩公主 (lè pèi gōngzhǔ)
Remark
Long in Chinese is 长, we also see this character from
“the Great Wall of China” in Chinese is 长城 (chángchéng)
comes from 头发 (tóufa = hair).
However, if there is only 头 (tóu), it means head.
And if you want to say “headache” in Chinese, it will say 头痛 (tóutòng)
Sentence example : 今天我头疼 ; pinyin : Jīntiān wǒ tóuténg
Translate in English: Today I have headache.
And this is how you say princess in Chinese 公主; Pinyin: Gōngzhǔ
Also, Chinese word for Prince is 王子; Pinyin: Wángzǐ. You may remember this word easily because prince is a King’s son.
and King in Chinese is 王 ; Pinyin: Wáng.
