Let’s get started! 我们开始吧 (wǒmen kāishǐ ba)
My mom washes clothes for me.
妈妈给我洗衣服
Pinyin: Māmā gěi wǒ xǐ yīfú
I wash handkerchief for my doll.
我给娃娃洗手绢。
Pinyin: Wǒ gěi wáwá xǐ shǒujuàn.
Remark: From these above 2 sentences we can see a pattern when someone doing something for another one, the sentence pattern in Mandarin Chinese will be
Chinese : A gěi B + Verb…
English: A …. (Verb) for B
